Suggest Treatment For Painful Bumps That Have Appeared On The Hands
I have these bumps that have appeared on my hands. They are painful and look like small blisters. They seem to be spreading. they are not red. And hurt when i run water over my hands. Can identify what they might be and any possible over the counter treatments?
Well the spreading blisters can be due to infection or eczema that can be Dyshidrotic Eczema or Dyshidrosis. They commonly last for about 2-4 weeks. They can be related to seasonal allergies. Also you should always get skin conditions clinically checked as that is the best way to confirm the diagnosis. For now you can apply a combination of steroid and antibiotic ointment and if there is itching you can apply Benadryl cream.
Take oral anti-allergic medicine like Fexofenadine or Levocetrizine if there is itching and irritation. Do cool compresses over them and maintain good hygiene. Apply Petroleum jelly to soothe the skin.
