Suggest Treatment For Painful Buttocks Along With Swelling Post Injury

I fell on Sunday and landed on my butt bone not the tail bone or cocyx at was sore about 20 minutes later quite a bit of swelling .The swelling went from butt all the way down my leg to ankles. I started icing it and the swelling has gone down quite a bit how do I know if it is fractured or not ? I continue to ice it no more swelling in legs a little swelling on the butt cheek a lot of pain so I have been taking norcos and ibuprofen . do I need to go see a doctor ? and how without going to a doctor do I know if it is fractured or not ?

After going through your query I concluded that you got injury to your butt and you got hematoma which traveled down upto your leg and ankle. It will gradually resolve in due course of time.Thrombophobe gel local application without rubbing it may help. You are already on analgesics. You are worried of fracture. It seems me that you does not got fracture. If you're able to walk unaided than it is unlikely to be fracture. You can get x ray to confirm it. You can discuss your doctor about it.
