Suggest Treatment For Painful Knot On Lower Left Abdomen
Had a painful knot on lower left abdomen. Hurt to move, to stand and to lay. Only relief was when sitting down. If I were to lay on my stomach it felt similar to laying an a tennis ball but was inside. No marks on outside. It was there for a couple days. Last night was still there when I went to bed. I woke up today and no more lump, no more pain. But there is a bruise right where the lump was. What do you think it was?
Pain or painful knot over lower side of abdomen which hurts during movement could be indicative of hernia or some superficial injury or spasmodic pain or some lump but it needs to be inspected clinically in order to diagnose it.
Without examination it is very difficult to comment on that.
You may need complete hemogram,ESR and ultrasound of local part.
Treatment is mainly depend upon the underlying cause. Meanwhile you can take antacids and analgesics available over the counter.
So you should immediately see general surgeon to get examined and proper treatment.
