Suggest Treatment For Painful Swelling On The Hand
My son has a lump Or swelling in his hand which looks like it could be the pisiform. He said he hurt it when a rope got caught around it during swimming. His left hand doesn t have a lump but his hand is painful of he shakes hands. Do you know what it could be?
Hello, I have studied your case. It can be soft tissue injury or swollen wrist. It can be pisiform also. I would suggest you get an x-ray of the wrist joint to see if there is any hairline fracture or any bony problem is not there. In case any bone fracture is there then he might need splinting. Apply ice and do not do any massage. Rubbing will increase problems. I hope these steps will be helpful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. Thanks
