I have a swollen taste bud(s) 1-3 on the back of my tongue (top). I have had this inflamation for approx. 4 days. I examined and they appear slightly enlarged + white in color. How long does this swelling and some pain (comes and goes..usually practically non exhistant in the mornings after sleep) last?? Is there anything I can do to reduce swelling and pain??
hellooo...read thru ur query.. according i feel that it might be either inflammed taste buds(due to some trauma while having food)or fungal infection(since u said its white)and can be due to deficiency of some vitamins..but nothing to worry at all..u can do tongue scraping after brushing(reduce a whole load of microbes)then use chlorhexidine mouthrinse, apply nystatin gel on the tongue, take multivitamin tablet(dont worry it wont hurt you) and drink lots and lots of water and do salt water gargle..follow this for a week or so and if it still persists meet a dentist and get it treated based on clinical presentation...besides all these be STRESS AND TENSIONFREE(tension causes all these)..cool and peaceful mind and happy face can treat all ailments...hope ur benefitted something from this reply..have a healthy day!!!
