Suggest Treatment For Painful Upper Stomach After Meals
Hello I had a gastroscopy done on Thursday with a bravo on Thursday in the am. They told me I would be fine go eat right after ect. I still can t eat or drink. I have managed to eat mashed potatoes, pudding, applesauce. It seems that warm foods go down better then cold. After I swallow food or beverage if cound to 5 seconds and I get a sharp pain under my right breast.
The symptoms seem to be related to side effects of endoscopy. Some of the common side effects can be:
Difficulty swallowing. Severe or persistent abdominal pain. Vomiting. The symptoms will go away on its own. To relieve the symptoms you should use Buscopan three times a day.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
