Suggest Treatment For Peeling Of Skin Around The Toes In Diabetic Patient

My wife whose age is 58, having diabetics problem and taking insuline regularly. She is having peeling of skin around and under the large toe of right leg since 1 year. Many medicines tried but no use. She is having pain in the large toe occasionally. Please advise.

The chances are that the peeling of the skin is due to a fungal infection, and therefore, I would suggest a good antifungal agent should be added to the medicines given.

If you add a picture of the toe, we can give you a better idea of what may need to be done. Alternatively, you could meet a dermatologist.

Also the pain in the toe, may be possibly due to the nerve invlovement in diabetes. Therefore, I would have suggested a prescription of methylcobalamin
