Hello,

I can understand your concern. As you have not mentioned which medicines you have already taken, it is difficult to advise regarding further medicines. However, usually antibiotics take 24 to 48 hours to reach an optimum blood level to induce antibacterial effects. If your antibiotics were changed yesterday, I would advise you to wait till tomorrow before rushing for another treatment. You can take Acetaminophen 500 mg to have relief from fever.

If you do not find any relief after tomorrow, you may have to go for blood and urine analysis and culture test to reach a specific diagnosis and to determine what antibiotics the bacteria are sensitive to.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you a rapid recovery.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
