Suggest Treatment For Pelvic Pain After Partial Hysterectomy
Hi i had a partial hysterectomy 18months ago abdominal and I ve also had two c sections as births, I ve had severe pain right about where my ovaries are as well as pelvic pain this is on a pain scale of 8/10 as i found myself doubled over this morning. I have followed all docs instructions and have been told its adhesions... Will this lead to my ovaries having to be removed?
Hi there, After going through your question, I am of the opinion that: 1) There could be various reasons for pelvic pain. Adhesions cannot cause such severe pain. 2) Most probable causes for pelvic pain after hysterectomy could be appendicitis, renal calculi, ovarian torsion, ovarian cyst, endometriosis. 3) You need to go to the emergency room and get yourself tested for the above. 4) They can be easily diagnosed by a pelvic ultrasound. 5) I do not think you should neglect this pain and must seek treatment immediately.
I hope this was helpful. Regards, Dr. Shikha Shah
