Hi,
There are two possibilities in your case-
1) PCOS (
polycystic ovarian syndrome)
2) Hormonal imbalance due to use of pills,
excessive weight gain, stress and strenuous exercise.
In your case, due to excessive weight gain and anovulatory cycles, there is an unopposed action of estrogen on the endometrial lining. (That is the reason for heavy menses at this time).
In my opinion, you should consult a gynecologist and get yourself examined and investigations (blood profile, pelvic ultrasound, thyroid profile and hormonal profile) should be done to rule out the above-mentioned causes.
You need to take iron tablets along with
tranexamic acid to control bleeding.
You might need anti-inflammatory drugs.
In future you would require
oral contraceptive pills which would be prescribed by your doctor to regulate your menstrual cycles.
You should do some exercise, yoga and meditation to control weight.
Eat a healthy, balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
