I had a problem of pericardial effusion. The fluid was non-tappable. Doctor prescribed me anti-tubercular treatment. After about nine months on ATT there was no pericardial fluid seen in ECHO. after exactly one year of medicine course, small accumulation of fluid again seen anterior of RV. What should I do now??

Hi. Your pericardial effusion is most probably due to idiopathic pericarditis. For treatment of this disease antinflammatory drugs is required. U have not provided your complete clinical history and investigation report. U should consult cardiologist. U should check for hypothyroidism. Be on follow up of cardiologist sometimes recurrent pericarditis lead to constrictive pericarditis. Take care.
