Hi,I am Dr. Carol Rogala (Emergency Medicine). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having a pericarditis attack. Started last night. Took 40 mg of prednisone. Some relief. This is my 6 or 7 attack in 7 years. I have lupus as the underlying cause. Know what always is done at ER. Do I really need to go? I am not near my reg. Dr. Any suggestions?
hello, I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM. Your recurrent Pericarditis is because of Lupus. You must focus on proper management of lupus.Taking prednisolone 40 as and when you have attack is not right way to treat it.You need regular steroids and other immunosuppressasive. My best wishes Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
