My mother is suffering from peripheral artery disease.During start of operation Doctor found that fimory artirery is blocked more than 80% so artificial bypass tube can not be inserted so without doing any bypass, doctor restich & told that bypass is not possible due to condtion of artery below knee of left leg.now what is solution for situation in which blood is not circulate in proper quantity in part below the knee of left leg??
First the medical management should be optimized to full extent. Next you can visit another cardiologist for both the optimization of the treatment and discuss regarding possibility of stenting to be done in femoral artery. As I don't have any report of yours available, I won't be able to give exact opinion so you please visit a cardiologist who does peripheral intervention, because not all cardiologist does this. Lifestyle modification like daily walking whatever distance is possible, and healthy food will be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar Makode
