Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Persistent cough may be due to chronic allergy, due to esophageal reflux disease or COPD or episodic asthma etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Avoid cool drinks and freeze water.

Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Use syrup Reswas.

If symptoms not improved please consult your pulmonologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
