I am battling a cold that has lasted for about 6 days. New symptom is that I am coughing so hard I literally pee myself and sometimes I even vomit up mucus. No fever and no swelling and its keeping me from sleeping well too since most of the coughing is at night whenever I want to sleep. I don t have insurance and go to a community clinic and no openings for weeks. Help please.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history. This looks to be classically due to postnasal drip as well as some severe allergy. Since you have no insurance and the community clinic does not open for a long time you can try the following at home: Instill Xylometazoline nasal drops 4 times a day followed by steam inhalations. Take cough syrup with antihistamine and avoid all the too hot or too hot foods and beverages. Try to find out the allergy causing factors and avoid them, like scents, fumes, molds and mildews. I am sure this will help you. IF you still persist to have problems, you may have to visit a local Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and to get an added medicines.
