Suggest Treatment For Persistent Ear Pain With Headache
hi doc i had pain tonsillitis some 4months ago it came with high fever a better and all. after two weeks i got better but now i had some ear pains went to the docs they said i had to much wax and so they syringed twice in two weeks gave me some anti biotic but till today now 4months am still not hence more anti biotic and also covancaine ears drops i also have tonsillitis every now and then. my ear pain is like it hurts also the upper side of my head from the ear when wind or anything blows as thats when it more pain full thanks .
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of ear pain and chronic tonsillitis over 4 months, pain on the same side of the head and ear on exposure to wind, ear syringing and so on. I would advise you the following: Get a second opinion of another ENT Surgeon as you need to review your problems, causes and possible diagnoses which can be complex as per your history. You had sufficient antibiotics. It looks to me that you may need exploration of the ear canal to clean it under General Anesthesia or a CT scan of the Ears, MRI of the brain particularly for the Trigeminal Nerve, and tonsillectomy as it is not responding to the antibiotic treatment.
