Suggest Treatment For Persistent Headache

I am diagnosed with hypothyroid and put on armor thyroid. Initially I felt a lot better but headache that I had prior to armor thyroid came back. Needed to double the dose and was good for a while, but now the headache is back again and it feels I need stronger meds, or a different thyroid medication. Any suggestion what my next steps should be?

Thank you for choosing HCM

A thyroid disease will cause the issues that you are talking about. Some thyroid issues cause the reduction of metabolism and this will lead to headaches.

Since the medications are also stronger, I think that the migraine has also started because of the worsened thyroid condition. I think that you should get a TFT done.

Here are a few things that you can do to help you:
Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day
Eat meals at regular times
Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Take a Paracetamol 500 when you feel you are about to get a headache
Drink lots of water

Follow up after 5 days. All the best.
Hope this helps you
