Suggest Treatment For Phlegm In Throat And Enlarged Adenoids

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... My son is 16 since he was young he has had allergies, asthma ear infections. Recently we took him to an ENT . He put a camera I into his nose and showed me what he was seeing. It was a large infected adnoid. He said he probably had this since birth. He was Put on prednizone and neti pot and nasel spray. He is still coughing and clearing his throat. We have another appt. In a week. I ve been looking up articles on the Internet and rarely do they mention teens with enlarged adnoids. He sings proffessionaly and feels that it is wrecking his voice and causing a nasel sound to it. Allergy medicine does nothing Sprays do nothing. Help

Hello,

The usual treatment for enlarged adenoids is cortisone and antibiotic if they are discharging pus, if not , a surgical removal is a must.
