Hello Doctor, Since June I am having big pimples on my cheeks and they causes irritation.i do not touch them but they leave marks/spots on my face. Please help me how to get away from them.I had a birth control pill;is there any side effect of the same.
As you said you suffer from acne. I can understand your concern for acne. You may be knowing that acne is a recurring disease. So, have treatment for long time with patience. It may be precipitated or exacerbated by many factors. There may be genetic influence. You have to reduce anxiety related to acne. Have positive attitude. Few episodes of acne lesions may be there even during treatment. You may continue treatment for few months.
Please stop birth control pills,as that might be responsible for exacerbation of acne lesions. You may go for other methods for birth control.
I would like to suggest following line of treatment...
- antibiotics like minocycline or azithromycine in proper dose - zinc sulfate tab - clindamycine or benzoyl peroxide gel - cleansing the face with antiseptic facewash
Have patience for the good result.
Thanks.
