Suggest Treatment For Pink Colored Bruise On The Forearm
Hello, my mother is 57 years old and has an unexplained pinkish ( with purple hues in spots) bruise on her outer forearm. it does not itch or hurt, but during work (meat slicing) she finds that the bruise changes in size (gets bigger than returns to size). It appears she has a small dot inside the bruise and another purplish dot approximately 1-2 inches away outside the bruise. The bruise extends across the outer forearm just above the elbow. With no other symptoms, should she be concerned?
Hi. As per your case history your mother is having a purpuric rash. My treatment advice is - 1. Wear loose clothes and avoid any trauma. 2. Take food rich in vitamin c like citrus fruits. 3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 4. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
