Suggest Treatment For Pinkish Redish Line On My Lower Lip
Hello my name is julian and i have grown a pinkish redish line on my lower lip for about 5 day now and it has not seem like its healing at all and i have tried cortisone, vasline as well as aqaphor . Ive been taking vitamin b 12 complex and drink water every day... It looks nasty buh not to noticeable. It sometimes itches and i cant stand looking at. I am 19 and i am a light skin african american can some one help me please i am desperate. I can send u a picture if you like.

hello thanx for consulting at hcm..it coud be lip licker’s dermatitis. you may r may not lick the lips, but it is due to that redness or erythema around the lips, it is common in lip lickers and hence the term. Treatment consists of topical and oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided. If the symptoms are not controlled by topical antibiotics, then oral antibiotics may be needed. Plz consult your dermatologist if problm persists..hope it helps..tc
