Suggest Treatment For Pityriasis Rosea

I believe I have pityriaisis rosea. I have these circular spots over my back and legs. I was just given steroid cream and antihistamine tablets. Could I have gotten it from a cholirinated pool that looked cloudy and where children use it? Should I use an ozone-cleaned pool? I was told to not go into the water for 6 weeks. Thank you

My Dear

Welcome to Healthcaremagic!
I have noted your details and concerns and hope that following measures will prove very useful to you as most of the patients that I see with similar complaints:

Your concern about chlorinated water as a cause for the condition seems misplaced. actually the condition is thought to be due to an unknown cause and several theories are under investigation.
As such, avoiding chlorinated water and going for ozone-cleaned pool are unlikely to relieve you or prevent recurrences.

Your doctor probably asked you to stay away from pools for 6 weeks because it is well known that it can take up to six weeks for the rashes of P rosea to subside completely. therefore, it is in your best interest to avoid pools for this period.

Hope this information is useful to you

Best wishes
