How do I treat Pityrosporum Folliculitis that is caused by taking an antibiotic and exposed to excessive heat and sweating? I have never had it before and do NOT have an acne issue. This popped up after taking AmoxTrac and a lot of hot weather.. I ve just been diagnosed and this has been going on for over a month. My dermatologists is having a personal crisis and is not calling back or prescribing anything now that we know what it is..
Hello There are two ways to treat this problem--ketoconazole topical cream first, and, if that isn't effective, oral diflucan
If your dermatologist can't help with this, your primary care physician can prescribe the medications
