Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have had a plantar wart on my foot for quite a while. I went to a podiatrist and he used strong acid at first and shaved it down. Then it came back just as bad, so I asked him to cut it out, which he did. The wart still came back just as bad but hurts worse. Should I go to a dermatologist or keep going to a podiatrist? The reoccuring wart is making me think my podiatrist is a quack haha. Also does the duct tape method work for larger warts?
DDear patient Skin warts are caused by virus and are known for recurrence if not treated properly and completely. So only excision will not lead to complete cure. I would recommend visit to expert dermatologist and excision plus antiviral treatmen for permanent cure.
