I am Mahmood Risasy from Yemen/Sudan. I am writing this concerning my wife s condition. She had a polypoid at the rectum very near the verge of the anus. This condition keeps on recurring. So far she has been operated upon to remove the tumor/polypoid 3 times, first time was in 2005 and last time was early June this year. When she was operated (second time) upon in 2008 the histopathology report diagnose rectal mass/polypoid as LARGE VILLOUS ADENOMA WITH FOCAL MODERATE DYSPLASTIC CHANGES. NO INVASION IS SEEN On January this year, before the third operation, we did endoscopy and the histopathology report of bits/samples taen from the polypoid was TUBULAR ADENOMA WITH LOW GRADE DYSPLASIA . On June 2010, when she was operated upon the histopathology report was TUBULOVILLOUS ADENOMA WITH HIGH GRADE DYSPLASIA.INVASIVE ADENOCARCINOMA IS NOT SEEN . We are afraid that it may change to carcinoma. We asked from the surgeon who operated on her, if he could recomend any medication now but he said that it s not possible to treat dysplasia unless it changes into carcinoma. She has a history of constipation and the doctor advised her to eat leafy greens and fruits mostly. She has to use atta instead of white flour. She was stopped from eating butter, cheese, fried foods and any baking containing yeast or baking powder among other things. Looking forward to hear from you. Yours faithfully, RISASI
