Ten weeks post total lap-hysterectomy I developed positional vertigo.I m 62yo and prior to surgery I also had fibroids and still had a period (march, 2015was surg). Horome levels prior th surgery said I was not in menopause. I m plaque with vertigo. MRI/MRA, CAT negative for stroke/mass.
Hi, You might be having postural hypotension also called orthostatic hypotension. This is common in elderly. There is no specific medicine for this condition. Only thing to keep in mind is try to avoid fall due to vertigo. Go for blood pressure measuring in lying down, sitting and standing position. To prevent vertigo while sitting or standing from lying down position wait for 1-2 minutes and then sit or stand or walk. If require apply elastic pressure socks on legs. Ok and take care.
