Suggest Treatment For Post-inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation

I went to my doctor and she tells me that I have Post-inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation. She did not give me any cream or nothing. She stated to keep moisture on it and it should go away in a week. I didn t believe her and asked her for a referral to a Dermatologist. I have to now wait another week and a half to see one since that is the best available time I can be seen. In the mean time my under my lip is dark and my bottom lip is dark. I can cracks in the corner of my lips. My lips itches when dry and I m using Medicated Eso and Vaseline Lip Therapy. She said it comes from lip biting and chapping. I am 35 and never experience anything like this before and I have been biting my lips for years. Please help
