Doctor I am 45 year of age and I am facing the problem of very early ejuculation as soon as I start sex an extreme pressure put and I releases. The partner remain unsatsifed. No sugar however urine leakage problem is there what should I do . I am a healthy man. Give some advice or medicine to curb the situation. Thanks Zafar
I can understand your distress as premature ejaculation is bound to cause sexual dissatisfaction in you and your sexual partner.
You should seek a psychiatric consultation for treatment of your problem. Your condition is amenable to treatment. Treatment with combination of both medications and behavior therapy will be helpful.
Medications include selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors like paroxetine (daily) or dapoxetine on as required basis. These medications are safe and effective.
Behavior therapy sessions would include relaxation training, sex education and learning methods like squeeze technique, start-stop method and distraction. Attending sessions together with your wife will enhance the chances of improvement.
Hope this information was helpful.
Best wishes.
Dr. Sunil Gupta
