Hello,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com,
From you complaints it seems like you might have
premature ejaculation (PE). It is one of the common sexual problem encountered in men.
Premature ejaculation (PE) is defined as persistent pattern of ejaculation within approximately 1 minute of vaginal penetration and before the individual wishes it to occur.
It is determined by intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT)-
-Mild when IELT is between 30 sec to 1 min;
-Moderate when IELT is 15-30 sec;
-Severe when IELT is
Treatment goal for PE are to increase the latency for ejaculation and to increase sexual satisfaction for both partners. treatment modalities are: somatic/ psychosocial methods.
1. Somatic: includes medications -
-Numbing agents such as Lidocaine for local application to reduce the stimulation.
-Psychotropic agents to reduce the
neurotransmitter level, such as
Paroxetine.
-
Dapoxetine can also be used.
2. Psychosocial methods includes various techniques such as
- stop -squeeze;
- start-stop method,
- slowing down the speed of thrusting,
- changing intercourse positions.
I would advice you to first assess the IELT for yourself along with your partner, depending on that you'll require the treatment.
Mild to Moderate cases can be treated with psychosocial methods, however severe case may require
pharmacotherapy.
Thank you
