Suggest Treatment For Premature Ventricular Contractions

A few weeks back I was diagnosed with having PVCS that were induced by jogging. Had a full work up that all came back fine. The Dr said they are benign and that my heart was healthy. Ever since I have been having a lot of anxiety from it. I bought a continuous HR monitor and notice some significant changes when going from sTandon to sitting. I stood up from a seated position and HR increased from mid 70s to 10ish then I sat back down and it drop drastically down to 60 for about 5 sec then climbed back up to upper 70s while continuing to sit. Is it normal to see a drop like this when sitting, I have also observed large drop immediately upon bending over.

Hi! You have not mentioned your age and other clinical history. But, most of the time, PVCs or premature ventricular contractions are benign and do not require treatment. If your full workup is normal, then as your doctor said, you do not require any treatment. Some change in blood pressure and heart rate occurs during change of posture. But the change that you have mentioned is more mechanical.There is a pause after a PVC, which leads to the monitor estimating the rate at that time lower than normal. If, you are actually measuring the pulse at that time, you won't find such big swings as indicated by the monitor. Trust that answers your question.
