Suggest Treatment For Pressure In Ear, Dizziness And Blocked Ears
Hi, while canyonning, i got pressure coming in my left ear. I felt dizzy for couple of minutes and since (about 10days back) i feel my left ear blocked (as coming out of the pool). Can the blockage unblocks itself after that long ? Any particular recomandations ? Thanks a lot
Noted your history about having pressure in left ear after canyoning, felt dizzy for a couple of minutes, about 10 days back ear is still blocked, wants to know whether this will open on its own. If the ear had to open on its own it takes about a few day of resolution.
Since the problem persists even after 10 days mean you need to consult an ENT Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation, ENT Endoscopy, Audiometry to know the findings so that the proper management can be done as follows: Antihistamine. Anti-inflammatory. Antibiotic if there is any evidence of bacterial infection. Oral steroids if required and if you do not have diabetes. No ear drops please. With proper medication it takes about 3 weeks for complete resolution. Do not blow nose.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
