Suggest Treatment For Proctitis And Crohn's Disease
So I am currently being treated for proctitis & possible crohns. They found ulcer all over my iliem. I have been on 40 MG prednisone for a week now, & taking canasa suppositories . I am now experiencing dark red mucus stools & horrible indigestion . Is this normal with crohns?
No, this is not normal but it may not be due to Crohn disease but it seems to be due to the suppository taken or it could be due to constipation. Here the possibility of fissure needs to be ruled out first else it is nothing to worry. Persistence symptoms of bloodstained stool may demand the further work-up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
