Hi, I had a partial Hysterectomy Christmas Eve. My uterus was severely prolapsed. I am 53 and just started menopause a year ago, but still had spotting every 28 days, so not full menopause. My surgeons took out my uterus, tubes and cervix and left the ovaries and the urologist fixed something with a type of sling so I don't leak anymore as the prolapse was leaning against my urethra? Why is it better to have left the ovaries? will it help my menopause not be so strong?
