Hi there, thaks for the query. Its not appropriate to suggest you treatment without having complete medical history. As you have mentioned that your periods are usually regular I assume that your present problem is of rare occurrence and possibly could be due to ovulatory dysfunction. You may take tab. Regestrone 5 mg twice daily for three days and once daily for the next 18 days, a total of 21 days. The spotting will cease in few days and you can expect your next periods 2 to 7 days following discontinuation of medication. I must warn you that your periods that follow will be painful and a bit heavy so you can take tab.mefenamic acid to handle pain and bleeding. Usually this will suffice. But if your symptoms are recurring, you may need to be thoroughly evaluated and need to visit your gynaecologist. Hope this helps. Take care.
