Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
There are couple of possibilities I can think of. Ideally I would have liked to see you live, so I could have taken more details.
I think the first possibility we may have to consider is
migraine. The description of the headache is typical to it. Even though the associated features are not present (as mentioned in the query), I will consider it if there had been
headaches in the past.
Second possibility is
giant cell arteritis. the age group and the symptoms suggest this diagnosis quite significantly.
Third possibility is an intracranial lesion.
And finally, I will consider
vasculitis.
I will suggest an
MRI Brain,
ESR, ANA for you. One these test are done, we may be able to differentiate between these conditions. Treatment can be suggested accordingly
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.
I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.
Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.
Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
(If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
Best of luck.
