Suggest Treatment For Purple Patch On Eyelid

this morning i woke up with a purple patch on my eyelid, it looks like an age spot that would be seen on the back of older person hands, my eye is not sore and there are no signs of an insect bite or the like. I am concerned, what can it be and how do i treat it?
