Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I suggest a possibility of Intertrigo; intertrigo is inflammation of the body folds. There is occlusion and this facilitates candidal infection, which often supervenes and causes a red, rash localized to the folds.
Intertrigo presents as red, inflammed, moist skin which has a burning, discomforting sensation to it.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to keep the skin between folds as dry as possible. You may use an antifungal dusting powder e.g
clotrimazole dusting powder twice or thrice daily.
An
Oral antifungal e.g
fluconazole in weekly doses is also effective.
Topically you may use an OTC
topical antifungal e.g 1% clotrimazole cream, twice daily.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g
cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from burning and discomfort.
