Actually yes. My sister and I are in Mexico and both developed a rash that totally flares up if we even get in the sun for 10 minutes. It itches and she has swollen eyelids as well. Neither one of us has allergies, never a rash from the sun either because we use suntan lotion. It happened on the 4th day of our beach vacation and I personally think we used bad suntan lotion that may have caused it. Today we used a local aloe plants which definitely soothed the aggressive looking rash. Antihistamin pills did not help at all. What do you think?
You seem to have developed photo dermatitis. This is basically a sun induced allergic skin rash . Use a medicated sunscreen with spf more than 26 regularly before going out in the sun .Apply it atleast thirty minutes before going out and re apply every three hourly . Apply a topical steroid cream like cortisone cream over the affected areas twice daily . Take some oral antihistamines like Benadryl or levocetrizine along to relieve the associated itching and allergy .
