wHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE OF A RASH ON THE ABDOMEN UPPER THIGHS ARMPITS BACK THAT HAS LASTED OVER 3 MONTHS? THE RASH IS ITCHY AND SEEMS TO BE RELIEVED BY BENADRYL TEMPORARILY . hE HAS 14 AND HAS BEEN TESTED FOR LYME DISEASE, STREP, AND RINGWORM AMONG OTHER TESTS. HE HAS BEEN SEEN BY SEVERAL DOCTORS INCLUDING A DERMATOLOGIST YET STILL HAS NO ANSWERS OR RELIEF.

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is urticaria. The lesions have a tendency to go away and then recur again. Topical soothing lotions like calamine lotion can be used along with oral antihistamines like fexofenadine. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
