After clearing brush next to a highway at our home, within a couple hours of coming in, my Husband said he had a dripping in his ear. Then his face begin to swell and he had a reddish color. In the early morning hours we both were miserable. His face was very swollen and had a purplish hue to his face. We were both covered on our arms with blisters..and swelling. It also felt like a bad sunburn and the skin felt like leather. The itching was worse than any poison ivy or oak I had ever had. We both had been completely covered with long pants...long sleeves gloves and boots. Took me 2 months to get better, but scars were left on my arms. Two days ago I was just in my yard with shorts and T shirt for about an hour planting vegetables. With in a couple hours from where my T shirt sleeves was...I had like a bad sunburn again with a horrible itchy rash and swelling. Went to a Dr during the first time......they were clueless...wanted to give me antibiotics and a steroid shot..which they did...I got worse...they brought me in and gave me another one....then I realized I was allergic to the steroids and on top of what I was dealing with, I now was covered from head to toe in itchy hives.. Any ideas ? Radiation sickness ?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rashes on the face which could be due to hormonal disturbances and allergic reaction of body. It could be due to increased skin susceptibility of body , sun allergy or food allergy. I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once and get it examined. You should go for patch test for allergic reaction. Start treatment after proper examination and diagnosis. You should take diet rich in multivitamins. Till then apply topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily at affected sites for 7- 10 days. Avoid intake of oily and fast food.
