Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Neck

Hi I m Kelly, 40 years old, have had Patachea on my arms for years mostly came out after vomitting, recently it s spread to all over my chest and stomach. I went to Urgent care last night with a different rash on my neck and chest and the Dr saw the red dots and asked if they were widespread, and I said yes as of late, they are. So he said they were called Patachea, that s the first time anyone has looked at them. He said they are very concerning and ordered blood work, 3 vials, and I called today and she said they all came back in normal range. I have no clue what the tests were, I can try to get on the patient site to see if I can screen shot the results and what tests were done. Just would like to know what s happening to me. I ve had no fever, no pain except in my hip and joints lately. But this isn t out of the blue, I was hit by a car at age 6 and my tailbone has always sat sideways and tilted causing some discomfort at times.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rashes on the neck which is very common due to blockage of sebaceous glands leading to folliculitis or boils. It can also occur due to allergic reaction or side effects of certain medicine. It could be due to fact as dirt and moisture get trapped by your clothing. I would suggest you to keep this area clean and dry , apply cream containing azelaic acid , apply warm compresses with soaked towel and apply vitamin C serum at night. You should avoid touching or pricking rashes. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically along with blood test and sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , antibiotics like clindamycin , anti inflammatory or anti fungal . Doctor may also prescribe benzoyl peroxide ointment . Apply ice pack on rashes 2-3 times a day.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
