Hello, Im concern because for the pass day I I have been passing blood with my stool. I was diagnose with an ulcer many years ago. I am a breast cancer survivor and I am concern. I am a 43 yr old woman. I started to bleed right before my menstrual cycle I was about a week late so when I started to bleed I thought It was my monthly period but notice that the blood was not my period it was coming out of my rectal. please advise on what action I should take.
First get your anal examination along with proctoscopic examination... It might help in revealing ulcer, piles , fissure or proctitis like inflammation condition... For that straining at stool and constipation avoided.... Excess spicy food avoided. Make anal area clean with warm water ... More water taken....
Second dysentery also has to be ruled out by stool examination.... If shows pus cells then antibiotic needed. If shows ameba eggs then metronidazole given....
Your anal area examination if shows mass or any suscipician growth then biopsy taken to rule out malignancy as you have positive malignancy history...
If still cause not identifiable USG done and subsequentially colonoscopy if needed.
Hope your concern solved.
Take care.
