Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Trichomoniasis Infection
Jessyca here,I was diagnosed with trich 2 weeks ago and given a one time dose of 4 500 mg flagyl tablets, symptoms improved and pain went away,my husband was treated, and now a week later the smell, discharge, and abdominal and back pain have returned. We have not have sex since the onset of my symptoms about a month ago....I don t understand why it s returned and worse this time

The symptoms of discharge, abdominal and back pain can be due to pelvic inflammatory disease.
Treatment with anti-microbials is required to clear away the infection.
If the infection is recurrent, repeat treatment can be taken.
Investigations are required to rule out other sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis etc.
There can be these associated infections which can lead to these symptoms.
