Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Cough And Severe Shivering

My daughter has been shivering uncontrollably for two hours, has a bad cough (past few weeks), and severe pressure in her head/sinus area. She also feel nauseous. She does NOT have a fever. She was on an inhaler for her cough last month as well as amoxycillin two weeks ago. Her symptoms seemed to clear after those medications but her cough has slowly returned.

dear user

about your question i would like to tell you that these symptoms you mentioned refer mainly to have lung infection bacterial or viral or ..........your daughter feeling of these symptoms should not make you worry but you should follow simple steps........about what to do that you should first refer to infectious disease or chest doctor to examine her lungs ........you may need to do x ray of chest to role out any lung problems or pneumonia........ you should avise her to be away from stress and anxiety andspicy foods because these will get symptoms worse.......your daughter should also drink alot of warm fluids that will make some improvement ......your daughter should also have bed rest and no effort that cause you more irritative cough..........treatment of the causative micro organism is very important.......she has history of taking antibiotics and that suggest having bacterial infection whic has resistance to antibiotic so discuss with your doctor to do sputum culture and to do antibiotic sensitivity test to detect suitable antibiotic for treatment.........other note you should know is having gastrooesophageal reflux that lead to irritation of the throat as gastric acid reflux reach your throat and lead to consequences irritation and cough .........wish you healthy life
