Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Headache

I was admitted to hospital after having recurrent headaches to the left side of my head, in 2012. This resulted in me having an MRI scan as well as lumbar puncture which came back NAD , they put this down to migraine. However recently I have started with another type of oain to the left side of my head it feels nothing like a headache . This pain comes out of no where and minutes later it disappears . When I get this pain it s unbearable it feels as though my head is being squeezed please help me

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello dear,
I understand your concerns.Migraine is typically a unilateral(on one side of head) headache which is very well known to change sides episode to episode(like in previous episode it was on right, this episode it may be on left and vice versa).Headache is throbbing or pulsatile in migraine(it comes and goes like pulse in human body) and that's probably what's happening in your case.MRI and Lumbar puncture turning normal means there is no serious intracranial pathology. Please visit a neurologist so that he may thoroughly examine you(including a funduscopic examination) and advise accordingly.I hope it helps.
