Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Pneumonia And Bronchitis Infections
Shingles: Are there different types of Shingles? I had Shingles in 1994, there was no pain. Could I get it again. How effective would the shot be? Pneumonia: During the last ten years, I have had Bronchitus 5 times and Pneumonia twice. Would the Pneumo 13 shot be something that I should consider? Regards, Curt
Hello Curt! According your question related the recurrent shingles you should know that it is known that most people get shingles only once, but it is possible to get it two or more times. In this case is recommended to do a shingles shot to reduce the course and severity of the disease and reduce your risk of postherpetic neuralgia. But the shingles vaccine doesn't guarantee you won't get shingles. The shingles vaccine is recommended for adults age 60 and older, whether they've already had shingles or not. It is known and I have seen in my practice that could be a shingles without pain. According the other question, based on your medical history I think that you need and you should consider pneumo 13 shot. Usually, this vaccine should be administered routinely in a series to all adults age 65 years and older and for the adults age under 64 who have immunocompromising conditions (chronic diseases, HIV, cancer, aspleni ect) . I hope my answer help you. I wish you a good health.
