about 10 years ago I was working out(squats) and on the way up litereally felt a pop at the base of my skull it felt like. I ended up having horrendous headaches for a couple weeks. Its been 10 years and I still get these headaches at the base of my skull from time to time. They can go away for 9 months and then come back for a month straight and they are relentless at times and seems only thing that grants me any reprieve is to lay straight down on a coach or bed. Ive read a lot tonite about possibilities and so many things revolve around the cervix area. please give me some advice cause right now they are pretty intolerable. Thanks, Rob
Dear, you appear to be suffering from Cluster Headache. In such type of illness patient experience sudden onset severe headache which comes in clusters (recurrent many times a day for few weeks). Then there is a lull period and person remains symptom free for many months. Again there occurs a cluster of headaches for few weeks. This type of headache is usually unilateral and associated with tearing difficulty in vision, lacrimation and photophobia. You should consult a physician who may prescribe you some prophylactic medicines to avoid such headache and also some medicines to abort the attack. Few non specific measures to help you are:- Take good diet, proper hydration, adequate sleep and rest. Avoid exertion, prolonged exposure to sun and stress.
