I have recurrent ovarian cancer. My second chemo regimen is Avastin. My first was a combination of Carboplatin/Taxol which lowered my CA from 1017 to 21. My oncologist suggests that adding another chemical to Avastin could be more beneficial: I was given the list to choose from: Taxol (don t want to lose my hair again) to be most aggressive, Carboplatin, Topotecan, Doxorubicin, or Aurelia. Have been researching to give my oncologist an answer tomorrow, day of consult/chemo. My CA went down with Avastin from 2,000+ to 1,343. What do you think?
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. The best combination will be of carboplatin and taxol again if you responded to it and you were disease free for more than 6 months. Otherwise i will recommend liposomal doxorubicin based therapy. Hope it is clear. Thanks
