Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On 1 Year Kid

My nephew is 1 year old. He got shots almost two weeks ago. He is hoarse, has raised red bumps all over his body that seem to get worse in heat. And he is very irritable and isn t acting himself at all. Crying all the time when he is usually the happiest baby. What could this be?

Hi,

Your one year nephew may be having lichen urticatus most probably. It is also called papular urticaria. It is cosidered to be hypersensitivity reaction to insects bite like flea, bedbug or mosquito. You take him to dermatologist for consultation. Oral antibiotics, sterods and antihistaminics in proper dose may be given for few weeks. Apply mild steroid with antibiotic cream on the lesions. Take all precautions to prevent the relapse of disease. I hope you yot my answer.

Thanks.
