Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On The Hands, Arms And Chest Area

In the last couple of days, i ve developed what looks like a rash on several areas of my hands and arms and my chest. The skin areas are red and bumpy. I m not on any new medication and I haven t eaten anything new. I ve been on hydroxychloroquine for several years now. I m not sure what s causing this rash

Hi.
As per your case history you are having either papular urticaria or allergic dermatitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
